Cadillac saw incredible success with their first generation Coupe de Ville. In 1961, the second generation de Ville was born, and Cadillac did not hold back on creating a sleeker and much more refined aesthetic. On top of that, this was the first generation to have a convertible option. However, the following year, a mild facelift defined Cadillac styling trends for 1962. This new design featured a flatter grille and various minor styling changes that made the 1962 de Ville an instant classic. The owner of this classic Caddy had just finished a complete restoration and was looking to put his own unique twist to finish the project off. When it comes to modifying classic cars, there’s a fine line between ‘too much’ and ‘just right’. In this instance, adding some flair in areas where the Caddy needed some help is key. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. The owner of this Coupe de Ville painted the car in a gorgeous navy blue and silver two-tone paint job.
